Know how you're going to pay for college?  There are many opportunities to get free money for your education through scholarships.  Most are open to multiple grade levels... and some are even open to junior high!

 

See attached Student Scholarship flier for some opportunities (scroll down for later deadlines).

 

Also, see attached flier on "Cash for College" FAFSA application workshops, offered on local school sites October 4 - November 30.

High School students are also welcomed to the Homecoming Dance, 7-10 PM on Friday.  Tickets are $7 each, permission slips due in advance.

Leadership has been working hard on planning CCAA's Homecoming 2016 which will be held on September 30th from 7:00-10:00. This is our 1st high school dance of the year.

Here is a list of desired donations (count toward parent hours):

  • 72-hot dogs- you can donate any amount, not all 72
  • 72-hot dog buns
  • 2-ketchup
  • 2 mustard
  • 1-relish
  • chopped onions
  • Jalapenos
  • 5-bags popcorn kernels
  • 10 gallons-Hawaiian punch red 
  • 5- 2 liters root beer
  • balloons, all circus fun colors(red, green, blue, yellow, orange) and different shapes
  • ice-50 lbs. or a couple ice chest full to be delivered the night of the dance (some of the local fast food restaurants give us free ice if you tell them it is for our school dance)
  • cardboard boxes
  • white string lights
  • 100-clear plastic small cups
  • 10-Large bags Frosted animal crackers
  • 48-cupcakes
  • Any cardboard cutouts or "circus" backdrops items
  • 3 chaperons
  • helpers to set up and clean up-(high school students can help with setting up too)

CCAA's annual carnival will be held Saturday, October 15th from 4-9 PM.  Come for games, food trucks, a bounce zone and the haunted house.  6th-12th grade students--stay after for the Monster Mash Ball!

Tickets and Wristbands can be preordered through October 12th.  Order online at our PTO School Store or through the paper flyer sent home with students.

Many hands and supplies are needed to make this night of fun a success.  Click on Volunteer Opportunities to sign up for your class level booth (elementary) or other volunteer positions, (including cast for our Haunted House). Options are available to either work the day of (Saturday, October 15th) or donating/loaning items beforehand. All purchased items count toward parent hours. Hours for purchases are based on the effort (i.e. shopping, assembling/cooking, delivering items to school) not the $ value of the items purchased.

These tests will be administered to grades 8-12 at no cost to students at CCAA on Wednesday, October 19th, 2016.
