Interested in being more involved at CCAA?  Nominations are currently being accepted for our 2017-18 PTO Board elections.  Please see flier sent home (copy attached) to nominate by April 26th @ 4 PM.


Need parent hours?  Collecting donations for our upcoming PTO Mother / Son Bingo Night, helping out at Bingo Night, or handing out fliers for the PTO Yard Sale are great ways to help CCAA!  See fliers sent home or contact ccaaboardpto@gmail.com for more information.


Prom is being held on campus April 29, 7-10 PM Tickets will be on sale for $20.00 Monday March 27  through April 6th. Prom is for Juniors & Seniors and their approved guests.


We are having another Prom Meeting in C-2 at the Walerga site on March 27th @ 6:00 to go over final details of Prom. The theme is "Fiesta"--list of donations needed is below.  If you would like to donate any of the following, please e-mail desire.deanehanson@twinriversusd.org.  We will also need parent volunteers to help set up and clean up. The meeting, gathering donations & helping chaperone all count toward parent hours.

The Spring Dance Showcase is fast approaching!  Don’t miss this exciting show featuring the CCAA Dance Companies, Dance Elective students, and Mrs. Evans and Mrs. Hankin’s classes.

The show features the following:

The story of “Peter and the Wolf” – Mrs. Evans’ 2nd Grade and Mrs. Hankin’s 4th Grade

Student choreography – 7-12 Dance Elective Students

CCAA Elementary and 7-12 Dance Companies


Come enjoy this exciting evening to celebrate the CCAA dancers’ creativity and excellent work.


Current 10th & 11th Grade students are invited to spend the summer at Sacramento City Hall, earning course credits and a stipend for participation in classes & volunteer work.  See attached flier and apply by April 28th.


See CCAA artwork and music featured at the TRUSD Festival of the Arts, March 30th from 5:30-7:30 PM.  Many of our Kindergarten, 1st & 2nd grade students are having their visual art featured; jazz ensemble is performing at 5:00 before the event; and junior high & high school students will be part of a district-wide band and choir performance!  The festival will be held at 5411 Luce Avenue, McClellan.


Know how you're going to pay for college?  There are many opportunities to get free money for your education through scholarships.  Most are open to multiple grade levels... and some are even open to junior high!


Sacramento Air Force Association has a scholarship available to seniors.  Apply using info at sacafa.com by March 24.


Operation Recognition offers Juniors & Seniors a scholarship for an essay on a patriotic topic.  See attached flier, due April 21
